In the event of a consumer dispute, defined in accordance with Law No. 144/2015 of 8 September, the consumer may use the alternative consumer dispute resolution body responsible.

Without prejudice to the provisions of the legislation, statutes and regulations to which alternative consumer dispute resolution entities are bound, it shall be considered competent to settle the consumer dispute, the alternative consumer dispute resolution entity at the place of conclusion of the contract for the purchase and sale of the goods or the provision of services or alternatively the alternative resolution entity of specialised competence, if it exists for the sector in question.

If there is no alternative dispute resolution entity with jurisdiction at the place of conclusion of the contract or the existing entity(s) does not consider itself competent(s) due to the value of this, the consumer may use the National Center for Information and Arbitration of Consumer Disputes, located in Lisbon, with the following information:
